🏀 Fall/Winter 2026 Greenwich AAU Tryouts
High Rise Basketball is excited to expand its AAU program with the launch of our newest team location at Greenwich Country Day School.
While our flagship AAU program continues at High Rise Headquarters in Stamford, this new location creates additional opportunities for boys in Grades 4–8 from throughout Fairfield County and Westchester to become part of the High Rise Basketball family.
Our Greenwich AAU teams will practice and compete exclusively at Greenwich Country Day School, creating a second High Rise AAU location while our established Stamford program continues to thrive at High Rise Headquarters.

Eligible Grades
Boys: 4th – 8th Grade
All players must attend tryouts, regardless of previous AAU experience.
💰 Tryout Fee
$65 per player (includes all evaluation sessions)

🔎 Tryout & Evaluation Process
Players will be evaluated based on:
• Skill level
• Size and athleticism
• Position
• Basketball IQ
• Previous AAU experience
• Coachability and competitiveness
Evaluations will determine team placement for the upcoming Fall and Winter seasons.

🔁 Make-Up Tryouts
Players who cannot attend their scheduled tryout should indicate their availability on the registration form.
Make-up evaluations will be scheduled individually as needed.

Tuition information will be shared only with players who are offered a roster spot following tryouts.
Program tuition includes:
• Team practices
• Tournament competition
• Professional coaching
• Uniform package
• Sports Performance Training (Speed & Agility)
Participation in either the Fall or Winter season requires a financial commitment.
⏱️ Playing Time Policy
High Rise Basketball is a competitive AAU program. While every player will receive instruction and opportunities to improve, playing time is not guaranteed and is earned through performance, effort, attitude, and commitment.
Our coaches are committed to providing honest feedback, helping every player develop, and communicating areas for improvement throughout the season.
Our AAU program consists of high level Fall and Spring boys teams that play in weekend tournaments either in the local Tri-State area, or on a National level. These teams are typically comprised of the top travel, school team, and high school players from all over the state of Connecticut. Spring teams typically practice twice a week and will play tournaments every other weekend starting in April and ending in June, while Fall teams will go from late September to November. All teams are assembled through open tryouts that happen around 1-2 months before the season starts. While many of our teams are younger groups, some of our high school teams have featured some of the top players in the state of Connecticut as well as the Nation!
